Visit 14.-16.5 2014

The "Tangential Gardening" 2014 season gains momentum. There are some missed and "just in time" harvests. The old, overgrown mushrooms (Stropharia rugosoannulata) are everywhere. They might popped up already in the end of April and now they are hosting some insects which are laying eggs into the gills:

The second crop is for our domestic dinner instead, mmm:

The signs of spring appear early this year. We planted outside on the 10th and 21st of February (onions), 10th and 21st - 24th of March (coriander, parsley, dill, lettuce and other greens and some vegetable seeds), thus by mid-May here is a green explosion to feast on:

Black-and-Redcurrant, apples, Sweet- and Sour Cherry and other berries have been formed:

The Cherry Plum‬ got sick this year. The disease called  "Plump's pockets" caused by fungi Taphina pruni. The reason is the long and cool spring with high humidity. Pathogen affected the fruit during the growing time. (http://supersadovod.ru/vred/bolplod/karmashki-slivyi):

What is done:
✿ We transported from Berlin the most of the seedlings and some necessary things for the garden.
✿ We got 21 bags full with the organically grown straw from the local farmers.
✿ We fixed some vegetable beds and transplanted the seedlings of: tomatoes, sweet peppers, squashes, pumpkins, some aromatic herbs, etc, etc.
✿ The Herb spiral also got fixed.

✿ Enjoyed, enjoyed and enjoyed
